High performance Jason Floyd Academy – Sotogrande 2024

The golf program for this camp takes place at the Jason Floyd High-performance Academy in Sotogrande and features complete and intensive golf lessons. The students practice golf from Monday through Friday during the mornings and afternoons. They arrive at the academy at 9:00 A.M., train all morning, and take an hour break for lunch during mid-day. Then, they return to the golf course for more training until 7:00 P.M when they leave the academy and take a bus back to their accommodation in Sotogrande.  On Wednesday, the students take a break from golf and enjoy an excursion to a beautiful attraction nearby.

During the training, the students work on:

• Swing efficiency
• Short game
• Physical Conditioning
• Course management
• Tournament preparation

The academy’s philosophy is that if a player can improve their game in the areas listed above, they’ll be successful golfers, and coaches at the academy work meticulously to optimize the potential of all their students.
 
The student train in small groups with other students of a similar level. They also get the opportunity to train with advanced golf training technology which coaches use to analyze and perfect each player’s golf swing.

• 9-hole golf course
• 18-hole golf course
• La Cañada Golf Club
• La Reserva

Training Facilities

• Golf camp: Valle Romano, 18-hole course

The sports facilities are excellent and include a 35 * 30-meter driving range with beautiful views of the Sierra Bermeja mountains. They also have an natural grass short-game area and a putting green so players can work on all aspects of their game.

The players train at Valle Romano, an 18-hole course where the famous Sol Matchplay 9 tournament of the European Challenge Tour takes place.

The camp utilizes the latest technology in golf to help the students improve their game

Camp Schedule

The kids will not stop doing things during their stay at the camp. Daily they will go to their training sessions and later to their English classes. Afterwards, there are many activities and games for them organized by the staff for that the kids can have a great time.

Excursions

Wednesdays are reserved for field trips or to visit a nearby location. Instructors program visits to Malaga, Cadiz, and Gibraltar or to the Theme Park Isla Mágica in Sevilla.  All these excursions guarantee a fun day away from the camp. Another destination they visit each year is Marbella where they spend the day at the Adventure Park Amazonia Marbella.

The students at the Jason Floyd Golf Academy find accommodation in the Sotogrande International Boarding House. The residence is located in San Roque, just 10 minutes by car from the academy, and just 1 hour from the Malaga Airport and the Jerez Airport. The surrounding area is safe and quiet, and the students are surrounded by nature while at the residence.

Students stay in double rooms with their own private bathrooms.

The International Boarding House is a 4-star hotel that has been renovated to comfortably house students at the Jason Floyd Academy.  Students can enjoy the following facilities during their stay:

Camp Insurance

We offer two insurance options based on your needs:

• Cancellation and Interruption Insurance: This option allows you to get your money back if you have to cancel or interrupt the camp for any justified reason, including injury or illness of participants both before and during the camp (the policy contains 35 different causes for justified cancellations).
• Travel/Medical Insurance: With this insurance policy, you will be covered for medical assistance abroad and possible expenses caused by health-related issues, as well as other contingencies such as lost luggage or an unforeseen flight change.

  Transfer Service:

  There are two types of transfer services available that we´ll detail for you below:

• Standard transfer service: the camp offers an optional transfer service for participants who request it from the nearest airport to the residence (or vice versa). Check with Ertheo for schedules and prices for this service.
• Special transfer with additional unaccompanied minor service: participants who fly to camp alone and have contracted the unaccompanied minor service with their airline must hire this special transfer with accompaniment so that the child isn´t left alone in the airport. Check with Ertheo for schedules and prices of this service.
